SMSC

Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural (SMSC) Education is considered to be incredibly important at LJS.

These four areas are fully embedded in everything that we do.

We have six core School Values:

Through the inclusion of these values into our rich and varied curriculum, we naturally include the key British Values:

• INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY
  
• MUTUAL RESPECT
  
• TOLERANCE OF DIFFERENT FAITHS AND BELIEFS

These are explored regularly during assembly and from 3pm daily, when class teachers set time aside for SMSC related activities with their classes. In addition to this, we have an annual British Values Day, where pupils are able to unpick the meaning of each British Value in greater depth.
