Connecting Classrooms Logo Competition
Thank you to all the pupils who contributed designs for our competition. It has been tricky to narrow it down, but the following entries will be submitted for consideration at the next stage, alongside those of the other UK and Nepalese schools. Hopefully we will hear before Christmas if one of our designs has been chosen as the overall winner.

Gloucester Lantern Procession
On Sunday 18th November 30 pupils took part in the annual lantern procession, which this year was based on the story of Pinocchio. It was a joy to watch the children as they paraded along the streets, carrying the willow lanterns constructed with artist, Harriet West. It was a rather a damp evening, but, nevertheless, it was a spectacular sight! Y3 Excellence Project September 2019
In response to the poem "Sea Fever" by John Mansfield, Y3 created seagulls using a wire frame and a teabag paper; as well as an acrylic paint seascape in the style of Japanese artist, Konen Uehara. They used the wooden end of their paintbrush and sponges to add texture to their painting.
Y6 Excellence Project September 2019
In response to the poem "The Way Through The Woods" by Rudyard Kipling , Y6 created textile paintings in the style of Klimt- they used fabric paint to create a woodland, then stitched into it. They also created clay slabs of the woodland floor and thought about everything and everyone that might have walked across it.
Y4 Excellence Project September 2019
In response to the poem "Tyger Tyger" by Rudyard Kipling, Y4 created a tiger eye collage using a range of papers as a background and a painted acrylic eye; as well as a simple press print of a section of a tiger face.
